SAMPLE CASES

Administrative Law–We have represented a variety of professionals before state and federal licensing boards. Also, we have represented individuals regarding claims for support and custody at the administrative level. We have represented numerous Worker’s Compensation claimants in both adversarial cases and negotiated settlements. We have also appeared before Administrative Law Judges on Social Security disability denials.

Bankruptcy Law--We have filed numerous Chapter 7 bankruptcies on behalf of clients. We have also assisted and advised clients on strategies to avoid bankruptcy. We have pursued adversary proceedings on behalf of both the bankruptcy debtor and opposing creditors.

Commercial Law--We have created numerous employment, independent contractor, joint venture, and partnership agreements for a variety of different business entities. Moreover, we have engaged in both negotiated dissolutions of businesses and filed suits on behalf of members or partners when such negotiations were ineffective. These included physicians’ practices, construction companies, and a printing company. We have also been retained to collect past due accounts and instruct my clients’ employees in developing methodologies to enhance cash flow.

Consumer Protection Law–We have assisted clients on claims for lemon vehicles, fraudulent and deceptive practices by vendors and contractors, and consumer protection matters. Also, we have helped individuals correct errors in their credit records.

Corporate Law–we have formed numerous corporations, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, and general partnerships. We are retained by at least twenty five (25) companies to update and maintain their corporate minute books on an annual basis. We have litigated several cases involving successor liability, piercing the corporate veil, and defending shareholders, officers and directors upon failure to maintain corporate status.

Domestic Relation Law--The most significant portion of my practice relates to divorces, paternity cases, adoptions and the subsequent motions to modify or amend these decrees. Clients involved in these proceedings are many times upset and emotional, and part of the service is to explain and guide the client to a rational and beneficial conclusion. In most cases, this can be accomplished by negotiation, mediation, or other alternate dispute resolution techniques. However, We have also litigated numerous matters when no other solution is possible.

Estate Planning--We have prepared wills, living trusts, powers of attorney for health care decisions and financial matters, and living wills. We have also probated estates, established conservatorships, and represented creditors and heirs in making claims against estates.

Personal Injury and Tort Law–We have negotiated and litigated auto accident injury claims, products liability claims, medical device negligence, and business tort matters.

Real Estate Law–We have prepared real estate contracts, leases, option agreements, and all forms of deeds in both residential and commercial transactions. We have negotiated and litigated landlord tenant disputes, defaults on real estate sale contracts, and civil rights claims in housing. We have assisted General Partners and managers in obtaining, financing, and compliance with HUD subsidized housing.
